The 1st of July, saw the conclusion of a year’s work when Consort Express Lines completed its merger with Steamships Shipping. The merger sees the combination of Consort’s domestic and international liner services with a new Projects and Charters capability associated with the addition to the fleet of 9 landing craft, 1 small bulker, two river suitable tugs and two flat barges. The merger includes the staff and crew of Steamships Shipping and so the all experience and skills in providing riverine cargo services around PNG are retained.
